This Month's Spotlight:
Years after witnessing his family’s brutal murder, a young man hunts the killers across the desert frontier. Along the way, he crosses paths with a seasoned gunslinger – played with rugged charisma by Lee Van Cleef – who may know more about the crime than he lets on. John Phillip Law portrays the vengeful youth, driven by memories of violence and a thirst for justice. Directed by Giulio Petroni and featuring a score by Ennio Morricone, this classic revenge tale delivers tense standoffs, dusty landscapes, and the stylized grit of the Spaghetti Western at its peak.
A small-time hood brings the attention of the law with an insurance scam and diamond theft, but things become even more interesting when his moll murders him and is slammed behind bars where she faces all manner of electric shock treatments to various parts of her anatomy.
In nineteenth century rural England, a German hussar serving with King George III's personal cavalry, Matthaus Singer, falls madly in love with the only daughter of a West Country solicitor, Frances Groves.
A transgender woman tries to salvage something from the wreckage love has made of her life by confronting her anguished past, hoping to find ultimate acceptance among former acquaintances and herself.
Henry Hobson owns and tyrannically runs a successful Victorian boot maker’s shop in Salford, England. A stingy widower with a weakness for overindulging in the local Moonraker Pubic House, he exploits his three daughters as cheap labour. When he declares that there will be ‘no marriages’ to avoid the expense of marriage settlements at £500 each, his eldest daughter Maggie rebels.
